3. Define and Describe
The book kissing the rain by Kevin Brooks is all about justice. I automatically think to when Moo, the main character is faced with the tough decision to tell the truth and let there be justice or to lie because he was put under pressure. The definition of justice is, the quality of being fair and reasonable, and the pressure Moo is put under doesn't give him fairness. Although if he tells the truth he is being fair and reasonable. This book really shows two different sides of justice which makes for an interesting read. "Well, put yourself in his place. How would you feel if you were wrongly accused of murder, and the only person who knew the truth refused to testify on your behalf? how would you feel about that?" (Brooks 170). This statement was made by the lawyer of one of the characters, he talks about being wrongly accused, injustice, and how Moo should testify so the man can have justice.
